Fazenda do Carmo

The farm is located approximately 80 km from Belem: 30 minutes by one engine chartered plane to Salvaterra air strip or 3 hours by regular boat to the port of Camara’. Then 45 minutes to 1 hour by motorized canoe to the ranch up the Camara river.
In the main wooden-made house there are two floors, 2 living rooms, 1 dining room, 6 rooms, 3 bathrooms (all windows and doors with mosquito netting).
There is also 4 rooms with private bathroom in a separate block outside the main house. Energy provided by diesel generator, freshwater, telephone, TV. No luxury but rustic comfort.
The ranch can accommodate 20 persons. Tours included: horse and buffalo riding, canoe and kayak on the rivers, creeks and lakes, fishing, birdwatching, tours by jeep on the ranch fields (from August to December only), observation of wildlife, photosafari, activities of a ranch and relaxation.
