Brazilian Iguazu Falls

One of the top atractions in Brazil: the Iguaçu Falls in the National Park of Iguaçu. Foz do iguaçu is a very important eco-tourism place, constituting one of the most desired destinations for people from all over the world.

275 waterfalls stretch along the border with Paraguay and Argentina. They are more than 3 kilometres wide and 80 meters high, what makes them wider then Victoria, higher than Niagara and more beautiful than either. This huge series of waterfalls plunges through a gorge on the Iguaçu River. It makes a never-ending spray of water and keeps the sky decorated with rainbows.

Located in the Parana River, Itaipu is the worlds largest hydroelectric power plant in operation and it is projected for the supply of 80% of the power consumed in Paraguay and 25% for the power consumed in Brazil. The hydroelectric has an installed capacity of 12,6 thousand MW (MegaWatts), with 18 generating units capable of producing 700 MW each.

The Bird Park of world class standard is situated in 5 hectares of native subtropical forest. It offers tourists, ecologists, photographers and ornithologists an opportunity to enter the huge 8 meter high forest aviaries to study and photograph birds in their natural habitat without the restriction of netting and cages. Besides over 800 birds, both indigenous and from other continents there are exciting exhibits like caimans, snakes, humming birds and butterflies.
