Arrival in Campo Grande where assistance with name board will be waiting for you. Transfer to the Pousada Refugio da Ilha in the Pantanal, a trip of aprox. 3 hrs, after arrival you will be welcomed by your English-speaking guide. The following activities will be scheduled at the pousada: trekking, horseback rides, piranha fishing, caiman spotting at night and boat tour. Overnight at the hotel.

The trips mentioned above are scheduled at the pousada. The trips will be carefully selected, depending the climate and time of the year and will be guided by local guides that know all about the flora and fauna that make this place unique. During your stay all excursions and meals are included.

After breakfast we leave the pousada and head for the direction of Bonito. Halfway Bonito we visit the Boca da Onça Eco-tour in the National Park of Bodoquena. The path will guide through the bush and forest about 5.5km (3.1 mi) and passes some interesting trees and 12 waterfalls (including the highest of the State of South Mato Grosso) with 156m (512 ft) of height. The tour includes stopping at natural swimming pools which the Indians already enjoyed. Lunch included. Overnight in Hotel Cabanas. Rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, visit to the Gruta do Lago Azul. The trail will start with a 40 minutes walk to the cave, then, after descending 100 meters, you will see the lake with crystal clear water. The depth is 72 meters and in the morning when the sunbeams hit the lake, the water will have an intense blue color. In the afternoon visit to the Nascente do Rio Sucurí, where lunch will be served. Nascente do Rio Sucuri, is a river spring with crystal clear water with a good view of fish and sub-aquatic vegetation, 1.700m snorkeling down the river. All the equipment necessary is available at the place. This tour starts with a walking trail, followed by a boat tour, that will bring you to the place where the snorkeling starts. Return to the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Overnight in your hotel.

After breakfast transfer back to Campo Grande in time for your domestic flight.

This is a trip full of adventure, for which a good basic condition is required. We advise you to bring solid shoes en mosquito spray. We also recommend you to have you vaccinated against yellow fever and to use malaria tablets.
