Arrival at the airport of Rio de Janeiro know as the marvellous city at the Guanabara-bay.
Visit the Corcovado ( christ monument ) by Eco-Jeep over the hills of Rio and the Tijuca forest. Half day.
Today we explore Sugarloaf mountain by cabelcar. One the most beautifull sightseeings of Brazil with excellent views of the beaches of Copacabana and Botafogo. We continue our trip to the botanical gardens. Half day.
Visit “ downtown Rio “ with the old citycenter of Rio de Janeiro and the very charming neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. Half day.
Arrival at the airport Iguaçu, welcomed by an english speaking tourguide. In the afternoon a visit to the brasilian side of the waterfalls.
After a firm breakfast a visit to the Argentinian side of the waterfalls (half a day), in the afternoon a walk through the tropical rainforrest with english speaking guide. Possibility to make a helicopter flight over the waterfalls.
Transfer from your hotel at 08:30am; 80 km by road to city of Rio Preto da Eva where a motorized canoes will be waiting to take us to the Jungle Lodge. On arrival at the Lodge we will be received by local management who will show you your accomodation. Lunch. We will be taken by canoe through the Igarapés to visit the caboclos who still live in similar conditions to their indian ancetors. On our return we will fish for piranhas and after dark go hunting for alligators.
We will paddle through the Igapós in small canoes. After breakfast we will go on a jungle trek where the guides will explain the various uses of the plants including those with medicinal properties. On the way we will visit one of the many waterfalls where we can swin. Lunch. Paddling with canoes through the Igapós and Igarapés. Swimming in the river ( optional ). After supper, sitting around the campfire, we can appreciate the tranquility of the night.
After breakfast we will go on a second jungle trek ( different eco system ) endding at a waterfall where we ca swim before returning. Lunch. Then by canoe for survival training where we will learn to live like the indians using natural products such as roots and medicinal plants. Trek into the jungle where we will construct improvised shelters and cook on a campfire, sleeping in hammocks slung between the trees.
After breakfast we will go on a second jungle trek ( different eco system ) ending at a waterfall where we can swin before returning. Lunch . Return in motorized canoes to city of Rio Preto da Eva and then 80 kms by road to Manaus. Arrival around 07:00 hrs PM. Transfer to the airport of Manaus. Flight to Salvador de Bahia and transfer to the hotel.
After breakfast city-tour visiting the historical citycenter Pelourinho protected by the UNESCO, the “Mercado Modelo” the cathedral and other highlights. Transfer back to the hotel around noon. Free afternoon or tour (optional).
Breakfast in the hotel. Free day or optional tours. Transfer to the airport. Flight back home.
